Strip HTML and extenso tags from a string.

STRIP_TAGS

NAME

strip_tags - Strips HTML and extenso tags from a string.

SYNOPSIS

strip_tags(str,allowable)

PARAMETERS

str
The input string.
allowable
You can use the optional second parameter to specify tags which should not be stripped.

RETURN

Returns the stripped string.

EXAMPLES

in:  res=<{strip_tags('<html><head>aaaaaa</head><body><a href="http://www.sednove.com">sednove</a> <p>is the best</p><script>var a="this one is tricky</script>"</script>')}>.
out: res=sednove is the best.

in:  res=<{strip_tags('<html><head>aaaaaa</head><body><a href="http://www.sednove.com">sednove</a> <p>is the best</p><script>var a="this one is tricky</script>"</script>
','<a><script>')}>.
out: res=<a href="http://www.sednove.com">sednove</a> is the best<script>var a="this one is tricky</script>"</script>
